After a stint working in commercial, corporate, and advertising as a cinematographer and editor in San Francisco I caught the journalism bug while on a documentary assignment in West Africa. Shortly afterward I moved to my hometown in Pennsylvania where I cofounded Focus Journalism - a visual journalism outlet reporting on underrepresented people and topics in Northeastern Pennsylvania. At Focus I use my passion for storytelling to inform the community through documentary film and long term reporting.
Since I started rolling out video reports in 2021 my work has created change within Northeastern Pennsylvania, held powerful institutions accountable, and racked up some notable clout including 14 Emmy nominations, two Emmy wins as of 2023, a 2023 NETA Public Media Award, a 2024 POY Award of Excellence and - most importantly - the trust of my community.
I’m available for long and short term assignments globally.
